Your child received an autism screening, now what? After a screening for autism, you may be referred to a specialist who can further evaluate your child by scheduling an autism evaluation. This further evaluation is a more comprehensive assessment completed by a specialist to either confirm or rule out a diagnosis of autism.

- Search for specialists with titles mentioned above, such as a developmental pediatrician, child psychiatrist, clinical psychologist specializing in autism, or pediatric neurologist with expertise in developmental disorders.
